Darlene Schnedler, Bill Roe, Genelle Tennant, Betty Schnedler, Virginia Roe, Stan Tennant, Jerry Schnedler

This is the first group that Stan and I were a part of, and the years to follow would take us into churches throughout Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Missouri, in an old Blue Bird School Bus which we renovated to accommodate the members and children as well as a full rig of instruments and sound equipment.

Those were the learning years and we had a lot of growing up in the Lord to do. Jerry Schnedler, (on the steel guitar) was the leader and spiritual head of the group. He was an ordained minister and how he loved the Lord! It showed in the way he loved people. He's gone on to be with the Lord now. He said that someday he'd like to play with David, and I believe he is now or will be in eternity! The love that we had for him lives on with the memories of the laughter and tears and the closeness that we shared.

When I look back I can see how greatly the Lord used us, and we didn't really understand at the time, that it was HIM working in us, with all our imperfections and weaknesses. We were so very young both in age and maturity, but we were sold out to service in music and testimony. And despite our lack of experience at the beginning, we saw miracles, shared joy as well as trials, had healings and deliverances, met new brothers and sisters, saw people come to the Lord, and receive Salvation, and after all, isn't that what it's all about!
