Leta joined us only for a short while to help promote our ministry.
But the newest bonafide member was a young man from a musical
family, Dale Yates. He was still in High School when he started
playing with us. A natural musician already, and able to play
many instruments, he took a few lessons from Jerry and soon excelled
and was playing the steel guitar for our band. He was such a clean
cut and mannerly young man, and we thoroughly enjoyed having him
with us. He later went on tour with some well known Gospel Music
groups, but finally settled down and married and has a wonderful
little family and still lives here in Claremore; and he has the
best memory! He can give you blow by blow accounts of some of
the hilarious escapades we had in the Witnesses. He could write
a book! By the way, Dale is also a professional photographer and
took the photo on my main page and some of the other photos featured
on this site.
Ruth was raised in a minister's home and we met her at her father's
church where we held a service. She had played the piano all of
her life, and played it well! She joined us to take Willene's
place after she left the group. Ruth has worked with me in ministry
several times since those early years, and now is a church pianist
and sings specials regularly; we share fond memories from those
years of ministry. Ruth is a great singer in her own right and
has recorded an album of her own as well as recording one with
me while we were one of the trio, 'The New Anointing Three' and
before that, we were a duo and held concerts together here at
home and as far as Arizona. She does a great alto harmony!
