Ruth Cloud and Genelle Tennant
During the Late '90s

Ruth and I made up the second grouping of the New Anointing Ministries. We did quite a lot together, including a trip to Tucson, Arizona to sing at the 60th Anniversary Celebration at Columbia Street Baptist Church, where I first heard the Gospel in the nursery and children's Sunday School. We were featured in the Tucson Daily Progress because of my part in the church's history. They had some of the same art work of the bible story pictures and paintings of Jesus as the Shepherd that were there when I was a baby! It was a real thrill to be a part of that celebration. Ruth and I also recorded a great project together entitled, Written on Our Hearts. We go way back in music ministry, as she was a member of The Witnesses as the piano player. She's worked with me in other groups as well, as a singer, and she has that rich alto sound to her voice and is one good harmony singer as she can sing all of the parts and sing them very well!

Ruth's Dad was an Assembly of God Minister and Pioneered many churches in the Northeastern OK area. She was playing her piano in her Dad's churches from the time she could reach the pedals. She has a natural ear for hearing melodies and plays the piano by ear. She even started Jeannie Leigh out on those ivories. Her Mother, a very godly woman, known to most as Mer Mer, is Ruth's constant support and is a prayer warrior for many other ministries, including New Anointing Ministries.
