THE GOOD SHEPHERD ... DO YOU KNOW YOU NEED HIM?

Do you know that you're a sinner; that you have need of the Savior .. because the wages of sin is death? (Romans 3:23) Do you want to be saved from death and have life everlasting? Then don't fear! This picture depicts Jesus helping a small child over the rocks to safety who is too weak to make it alone. He's there for you in that same way. Don't reason that you aren't good enough or not yet ready to receive His Salvation. He waits for you with open arms just as you are. Jesus will make of you and your life what you were meant to be. He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him over to be crucified for us all, how much more will He freely give Salvation to those who accept it! Jesus appeared on earth in the form of a man in order to take away our sins. (1Jn 3:5) We can be accepted and reconciled to God if we repent and turn from our sin and have faith in Jesus' death on the cross to make atonement for our sins.

Do you understand now about the Father's love for you? "For God so loved the world that He gave His only Begotten Son, that whosoever would believe on Him (Jesus) would have everlasting life" (John 3:16)

It's a Love

... that called us beloved when we were not

(Romans 9:25)

It's a Love

... without end

... that gives mercy when we deserve justice

... that's moved with compassion for us

... that sends the Good Shepherd to find us (because we are lost like sheep without a shepherd)

It's a Love

... that calls to us 'til we come face to face with His Love, the most powerful Love in the universe!

It's a Love

... that gently receives us just as we are

... marred by sin and despair

... beaten down

It's a Love

... that casts our sins away to be remembered no more

... that makes us new and whiter than snow

It's a Love

... that sent Jesus to the cross to die for us and then raised Him from the dead so we could be raised with Him and have everlasting life!
